TSV 1860 Munich and Türkgücü Munich have positioned themselves well in the first half of the season.
Who will succeed in the big coup in the end?
Halfway through the season,
TSV 1860
and
Türkgücü Munich have
realistic chances of promotion.
The first half of the season did not
go smoothly
for both clubs,
but they have now caught on.
We took a closer
look
at
the lions and the brilliant climber
.
Munich
- "The
Munich city champion will
rise," prophesied cult trainer Karsten Wettberg (78) at the beginning of the season.
After the first half of the season it can at least be said that the Munich front runner is on
relegation course
.
The lions are only one point behind the table runner-up FC Ingolstadt;
With a gap of two points,
Türkgücü
follows
in fourth place
.
The comparison of the Munich promotion rivals.
Course of the season: 1860 got off to a strong start with three wins and two draws, Türkgücü also started briskly, but often played too naively.
The offensive orientation was at the expense of stability, after a
brief low in December
- four games without a win - coach Alexander Schmidt switched.
Aaron Berzel was pulled into midfield and the central defense consisted of Furkan Zorba and Alex Sorge.
The trick worked:
Türkgücü got 13 points
from the last five games
and fought his way back to the top of the table.
“We gave away one or the other point unnecessarily, but
on the whole I'm satisfied,
” says Managing Director Max Kothny.
The Löwen curve was almost parallel.
The November crisis was followed by
four wins
(all to zero) and a draw.
3. League: Mölders and Sliskovic top scorers
High performers: 1860 has
Sascha Mölders,
the league's most accurate striker (13 goals), goalkeeper Marco Hiller and the back four with talent Semi Belkahia in central defense are a bulwark.
Türkgücü offers the most dangerous duo in the league.
Petar Sliskovic
(12 goals, 3 assists) and
Sercan Sararer
(6/11) prove that they could also play a class higher.
Also worth mentioning are the now very secure defense and the long-running midfielders, Kilian Fischer and Philipp Erhardt.
Club policy: At sixty there is a
ceasefire between the shareholders
, in the event of success nobody wants to spoil the game.
The budget for the coming season has already been secured.
The Türkgücü project is economically still on shaky feet, the
condition for Hasan Kivran's long-term stay
as an investor is “maximum sporting success and the future of the project,” says Kothny.
For the second division, however, the people of Munich need a
young talent center
;
concrete plans must be submitted to the DFL by March 1st.
“Talks with the city and the DFL are ongoing.
Of course we have to fight harder than clubs that already meet all the framework conditions, ”says Kothny.
Türkgücü: ex-lion obliged
Winter transfers: The Löwen followed up with loan player Merveille Biankadi from Heidenheim, Türkgücü parted ways with Tom Boere, Emre Kurt, Thomas Haas, Marco Holz and Marco Raimondo Metzger in order to sign two new ones: yesterday signed ex-midfield lion Sebastian Maier (27, Bochum) and striker Lucas Röser (27) from 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
The future prospects: 1860 has four cellar teams with Meppen (Sonntag), Magdeburg, Zwickau and Lübeck, Turkgücü will face Bayern II tomorrow, followed by Lautern, Mannheim and Wiesbaden.
