LeBron James insists: I do not feel a special duty of proof in games against Yannis Antocompo.
King James also defeated the Greek freak tonight (Thursday to Friday), who was tagged as his successor in the league, who is supposed to be the player who will dominate it the day after he retires, or even before that.
The Lakers defeated Milwaukee 106: 113, in what was a direct continuation of the trend of recent years in the games between LeBron and Antocompo: LeBron stands on a balance of 16 wins versus just 5 losses in these direct encounters (76.2 percent success), and tonight, as in quite a few cases, he Stakes.
It ended with a season-high 34 points (including a three-pointer that closed out a minute to go) alongside 8 assists and 6 rebounds that proved - until proven otherwise, LeBron is still the best player in the world and Yannis is still far from it.
"Honestly, I really don't care," James said when asked about the matchup between him and Antocompo, who also "stole" from Melbourne the regular season MVP title last year, even though in many eyes the award went to the Lakers star.
"I never emphasized personal degrees," LeBron continued.
"For me, the only thing that matters is team success. I just want to play as well as possible and help my team win against any opponent. No less, no more. That's all."
But some are convinced that LeBron is whitewashing his real motive - to convey a message to Antocompo.
"This is just a little reminder to Yannis. LeBron is still angry that the NBA gave Yannis the MVP last season," tweeted former player and commentator Kendrick Perkins.

Anthony Davis also had an "open account" with Yannis, who last season won the Defender of the Season award at his expense, although as in the case of LeBron, there were quite a few who sided with him.
Tonight Davis took a significant part in defending Antocompo, who struggled and lost nine times.
"What was last season, belongs to last season. None of us brought up the issue of defensive player of the season. We did not talk about it, it did not concern us," AD also insisted.
"Our only motivation was not to lose two games in a row. Nothing else. To my delight, we met the goal."
Davis finished with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and two blocks, but is still unhappy with himself, having scored less than 20 points in five games in a row.
"I think I'm playing shit right now, to be honest," he said at the end.
"I'm not scoring properly, not accurate from the penalty spot. I feel drought. Tonight at least I raised my level of aggression, got to the point and helped my friends get ready for important shots."
