The weather has shaken up the program of the Alpine World Cup competitions in Kitzbühel. The classic Hahnenkamm descent on the Streif, which was canceled on Saturday morning due to rain, snowfall, fog and the slope conditions, should now be rescheduled on Sunday (10:20 am).
On Friday morning, the failed downhill race from Wengen was made up on the Streif. There were heavy falls and long interruptions.
The winner was Beat Feuz from Switzerland

Ms. Höfl-Riesch, have you ever shut down the legendary Streif?
Maria Höfl-Riesch:
Yes, but not with downhill skis and with this course setting.
I drive down the Streif as a normal tourist.
SPIEGEL:
Have you never been tempted to race there?
Höfl-Riesch:
When I was still on the team, I would have fought my way down, but with a lot of braking and lateral positions.
The security variant.
At full speed and at full risk - that is the limit even for most men.
There is a reason why there are no women's races there.
Some men are also scared at the start.
