Kinneret Zedaf, who has served as chairman of the gymnastics association for the past three years, announced today (Tuesday) her resignation from the position of chairman of the association and she will continue to serve as a member of the association's board.
In a statement to members of the union's board, she wrote today: "After much deliberation and a heavy heart, I decided to resign from my position as chairman of the union, due to the fact that for personal reasons time does not allow me to continue in a position that requires full availability.
I experienced, together with Oded Abramson who served with me as co-chair, great satisfaction with the union's recent achievements including European Championships, raising additional budgets, hosting the 2021 Grand Prix, hosting the 2024 World Acrobatics Championships and more as a product of a professional managerial envelope. It is certain that the union will continue to move forward and will continue to be among the leading unions in Israel in the coming years. "
Zedaf will continue to serve as a member of the union's board.
Moran concludes that the union's chairman will serve as acting chairman until the union's management convenes to elect a permanent chairman.
The gymnastics association said: "In all her years as chairman, Kinneret Zedf has led the association to unprecedented achievements and we thank her so much and are happy that she chose to remain in the association as a board member with the association's main goal being success and achievements at the Tokyo Olympics."
