In a high-class game at times, SC Riessersee lost 3: 7 in the ice hockey Oberliga Süd at Höchstadter EC on Tuesday evening.
Bastian Eckl had enough.
Four minutes before the end, he pushed his Höchstadter opponent onto the ice.
Two minute penalty for Eckl and another example of how eaten the players in white and blue were whether the clear 3: 7 bankruptcy in Höchstadt.
Because: Even if the strong offensive of the HEC posed major problems for the Riessersee several times, the SCR was by no means without a chance in the duel of the table neighbors of the ice hockey Oberliga Süd.
Both teams showed right from the start why they are right at home in the upper half of the tableau.
An open exchange of blows developed with many interesting moves on both sides.
Benjamin Kronawitter found his master twice in HEC goalie Benjamin Dirksen.
But its counterpart on the Riessersee side, Michael Böhm, also demonstrated his skills several times.
Four minutes before the first break, however, he too had no chance when Milan Kostourek, after a nice pass from Martin Vojcak, brought the Höchstadter, who were so strong at home this season - only a defeat in their own hall - 1-0 lead.
Höchstadter's double blow breaks the SCR's neck
Section two began with the Riesserseern playing unleashed, who were rewarded for their efforts less than three minutes after the restart with an equalization by Robin Soudek in excess.
The SCR was now finally on the trigger.
The home side scored the next goal.
The criminally abandoned Dmitrij Litesov brought the HEC back into the front.

44 seconds later, Anton Seewald increased to 3-1.
The SCR shook itself briefly and went back to its attacking game.
The veteran Uli Maurer failed from the half-left position on the brilliantly reacting Dirksen.

Shortly afterwards, Böhm prevented the white-blue team from falling even further and parried a penalty from Kostourek.
Three minutes had passed in the last section when Thomas Radu caused the second penalty against the Riesserseer.
Maxim Kryvorutskyy did better than his colleague Kostourek before and gave Boehm no chance to defend himself, 5: 1.
At first Radu had no luck, then there was also bad luck: His powerful long-range shot hit the post of the HEC housing.

Whatever the SCR tried at this stage of the game, it failed.
On the Höchstadter side, however, a lot or everything went well.
Kryvorutskyy by margin and Seewald increased with their second hits of the evening to 7: 1.
Particularly annoying from Riessersee's point of view was the seventh goal: In power play, coach George Kink's team ran into a counterattack from Höchstadter.
After a double pass with Jari Neugebauer, Seewald overcame the pitiful Böhm.
The mass was read, the game decided.
And yet the whites and blues did not stick their heads in the sand, but were looking for cosmetic results.
And finally it worked with the guests scoring goals.
The SCR top scorer Eetu-Ville Arkiomaa, who was still visibly weakened after an injury break, failed with his shot because of the strongly reacting Dirksen.
Robin Soudek used the margin to make it 7-2.
For the Czech it was already the 16th goal of the season.
And Kronawitter was also allowed to add himself to the list of goalscorers when he marked the 7-3 final score after a pass from Luca Allavena.
