It's official since Tuesday evening: Thomas Tuchel is the new Chelsea coach, one month and two days after his dismissal from PSG.
The German replaces Frank Lampard, dismissed Monday after a series of poor results in the Premier League (Chelsea are in 9th place).
Tuchel is committed for eighteen months, until June 2022. He will be present on the sidelines from Wednesday for the 20th day of the championship, at home against Wolverhampton (19 hours).

He meets Thiago Silva there
In the London locker room, Tuchel will notably find Thiago Silva, who was his captain at PSG.
But also Christian Pulisic, whom he knew in Dortmund.
He will coach three French internationals with Kurt Zouma, N'Golo Kanté and Olivier Giroud.
This is the fourth professional club for Thomas Tuchel after Mainz, Dortmund and PSG.
With Paris, which he had been training since July 2018, the technician has twice won the Ligue 1, a Coupe de France, a Coupe de la Ligue, and two Champions Trophies.
He especially took, in the summer of 2020, PSG to the first Champions League final in its history, lost against Bayern Munich.
But the disagreements with the sporting direction led by Leonardo were too important for Tuchel to find a future in Paris.
He was fired on December 24, the day after a final victory (4-0) at the Parc des Princes against Strasbourg.
