Ivory Spring (No. 11) also took a wait-and-see approach for a long time, ahead of the courageous Dream For All (no. 5)

Under a blue sky that would be the envy of many, a good number of professionals set up shop on the shores of the Riviera for a meeting that will last until February 26th. The first notable winner of this unmissable moment of the year for flat racing will remain Forchester (No. 8). Ridden with confidence by Clément Lecœuvre, the 5-year-old gelding had to show courage in the final phase to resist several attacks. "He was very well ridden," said Édouard Monfort, the winner's trainer, speaking to Equidia. He took the right initiative by getting off to a good start. As far as the horse is concerned, it was his race, and he deserved this victory, especially as he was brave at the end. It's a meeting that I really enjoy, because it allows the horses to take a breath of fresh air in the sun. And what's more, it's off to a good start. »

In fourth position heading into the only turn of the 1,600m course, Forchester took the lead with two hundred metres to go to maintain the minimum advantage at the expense of Dantes (No. 6), an excellent finisher, as well as Le Nomade (No. 2), whose straight did not go unnoticed. Ivory Spring (No. 11) also took a wait-and-see approach for a long time, ahead of the courageous Dream For All (No. 5), who maintained a deserving fifth place.
