With the transition from 2023 to 2024, the world of football continues to hand out awards for the past year.
Today (Friday) a "Globe Review" awards ceremony was held in Dubai, and a special guest arrived there - Cristiano Ronaldo.
Al Nasser's striker enjoyed the winter break in the Saudi league, and he went on stage at the ceremony and even answered a number of questions.
Since he started the trend of moving from European football to Saudi about a year ago, the Portuguese testified that within a few years the league in the Gulf will become one of the strongest in the world.
12 months later, he already recognizes tremendous progress: "I don't think the Saudi league is weaker than the French one, in my eyes it's more competitive. People can say what they want, that's my opinion and I play here, so I know what I'm saying."
Ronaldo told how satisfied he is in Al Nasser, where he arrived after a difficult period at Manchester United: "I am so happy here, it was an excellent transition. The Saudis are going through a process, but step by step they will reach the top. I think the Saudi league will be among the best In the world, the Saudi residents will be proud."

At the beginning of next month Ronaldo will celebrate his 39th birthday, and even at his age he managed to finish the year 2023 as the outstanding scorer in the whole world.
He has overtaken the biggest stars in European football, and although he obviously plays in an inferior league, it is still a considerable achievement: "The criticism?
