Thunderbolt in Melbourne.
Opposed to Linda Noskova (50th), the boss of the women's circuit Iga Swiatek took the door in the third round of the Australian Open, beaten in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-4, in 2h20 ) by the 19-year-old Czech.
Already pushed to her limits by Danielle Collins in the previous round, the world number one was unable to cope, having never left a Grand Slam tournament so early since Wimbledon 2022.

The elimination of Swiatek constitutes another surprise in a women's draw already deprived of world number three Elena Rybakina.
Noskova will challenge Elina Svitolina or Viktorija Golubic in the round of 16.
