More than 300 Palestinian sports clubs and dozens of social organizations launched a call to boycott Israel from the games in Paris this summer, doing so under the hashtag #BanIsrael.
The Palestinian clubs, which include men's and women's soccer, basketball and volleyball teams, some of whose players were killed in the Iron Swords War, called on the International Olympic Committee to "implement its principles and fulfill its obligations by banning Israel from the Olympic Games to be held in Paris in July 2024, until it ends the violations The severity of international law, and the genocide in Gaza."
In their statement it is stated that among the professional athletes and coaches who were killed was the coach of the Palestinian Olympic soccer team, and in addition they claim that the Israeli bombings also destroyed the office of the Palestinian Olympic Committee in Gaza.

The Palestinian teams appealed to Arab sports teams, fans and activists around the world to adopt their demand and "pressure the IOC to ban Israel's participation by effective means".
The sports clubs also point out that while the IOC imposed comprehensive sanctions on Russia, it not only refused to apply the same standards to Israel, it imposed sanctions on "sports associations and individual athletes who dare to speak out against Israel's human rights violations or who take a moral stand In solidarity with the Palestinians."
In addition, more than 37,000 people recently signed a petition of the Movement for Democracy in Europe, which calls for "the immediate suspension of Israel from participating in all international sports until it fully complies with international law and sports regulations."
