FC Bayern Munich embarrassed themselves against Werder Bremen.
Mario Basler expresses himself – in his very personal way.
Munich – Some celebrate in stoppage time, others stumble over mediocre Bundesliga teams: Sounds like long-term winners FC Bayern Munich and subscription pursuers Borussia Dortmund.
In the 2023/24 season, however, the roles are distributed differently: Bayer Leverkusen greets from the top of the table, recently celebrated two important last-minute victories and simply seems invincible.
And Bayern lost 1-0 at home to Werder Bremen.

After the defeat against the thirteenth place in the table, there was a lot of criticism from several quarters - for the players, but also for coach Thomas Tuchel.
Mario Basler is someone who is very familiar with both camps.
In his podcast, the former professional gave one or two assessments - of course in typical Basel style.
The 1996 European champion was under contract with Werder Bremen for three years and with FC Bayern for three years.
After the champions' 1-0 defeat against the Hanseatic League, he said in his podcast "Basler ballert" that he was "completely surprised" by the Munich team's performance.

Maybe the Bavarians, who are used to success, should try alternative training methods?
Basler's advice: “There are training world champions and there are playing world champions.
That’s why I skipped one or two training sessions and said I’d concentrate on Saturday.”
Skipping training as an option for the people of Munich?
Hardly likely.
The question remains: what happens next at FCB?
And what will happen to Tuchel?
“There are mechanisms in football.
Titleless?
Difficult,” the Palatinate native continued.

And Mario Basler wouldn't be Mario Basler if he didn't add a casual saying: “Bayern's only chance is that they get me.
I'll hit everyone on the cylinder.
But don’t just clap your hands, you should really clap.”
Basler as Tuchel's successor - not a scenario that FC Bayern will seriously think about.
Although the next changes are currently taking place in the Munich management team.
