After the home defeat against Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has to face criticism again.
Lothar Matthäus questions some decisions.
Munich – The dispute between TV expert Lothar Matthäus and Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is entering the next round.
After the record champions' defeat against Werder Bremen, Matthäus renewed
his criticism of the Bayern coach in his
Sky column.

Matthäus calls for more self-criticism from Bayern coach Tuchel
Matthäus criticizes, among other things, Tuchel's lack of self-criticism: "When a coach stands up after a defeat and only looks for the blame on the players, like Thomas Tuchel did after the 0-1 win against Werder Bremen, then that's quite a problem for the players A slap in the face.” Instead, according to the record international player, Tuchel should also question himself.
Expert Matthäus assumes that Tuchel gives his players clear instructions, “but do the players know what he wants or do they not know?” asks the 62-year-old.

Record national player Matthäus would strengthen the leading players more
Another point of criticism is Tuchel's treatment of the leading players.
These include Matthäus Leon Goretzka and Joshua Kimmich, both of whom carry the “Bayern gene”.
He sees them as “world-class players when they work.”
Goretzka is currently the better choice than Raphaël Guerreiro with his “robustness, duel strength and personality”.
While Goretzka only comes off the bench, Kimmich is repeatedly criticized publicly and another leading player, Thomas Müller, has little playing time.
“As a coach, I actually have to strengthen my leading players if I don’t get the players I might have wanted,” criticizes Matthäus.

Bayern is already significantly behind Leverkusen
At Bayern's rival Leverkusen, the good interaction between the team and coach Xabi Alonso is currently easier to recognize.
Munich are one game and seven points behind the Werkself.
“For Bayern, only victories count, because they can’t hope for Leverkusen’s slip-ups.”
"The championship is the most honest title, and if this title, which was won last year with luck, is missed this year, the coach will be up for discussion - not yet, but of course at some point." (
