Update from January 24th, 10:55 a.m.:
Barcelona sports director Deco has put a stop to the departure of central defender Ronald Araujo from the TV channel Movistar.
“Bayern wants Ronald Araujo?
We're not thinking of selling it.
He is not for sale because he is one of the key players in Barca's future," said the former world-class midfielder.
And further: “He has a long contract and we are not thinking of selling him.
He shows every day that he is happy here.
There is nothing to talk about.” In recent weeks there has been repeated speculation about a possible move for the Uruguayan to the Isar.
The defender recently denied a phone call between Araujo and FCB sports director Christoph Freund that was said to have taken place a few weeks ago.
The Munich team could make a new move next summer, but a transfer is apparently off the table in the current transfer window.

Right-back wanted: FC Bayern is probably turning down an offer for Trippier
Update from January 23rd, 9 p.m.:
In courting Kieran Trippier, FC Bayern has apparently been rejected by Trippier's employer Newcastle United with an improved offer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Munich team is said to have offered around 15 million euros as a transfer fee.
Sky
reports a sum of 15 to 16 million euros.
Apparently not enough for the Magpies, who, according to Romano and various English media, rejected the offer.
Bayern had actually wanted a decision on the transfer for Tuesday, but negotiations are now set to continue over the next few days.
First report from January 23rd, 2 p.m.:
Munich – FC Bayern Munich wants to sign a new right-back by the beginning of February and has probably decided on a candidate.
Kieran Trippier is set to move from Newcastle United to Säbener Straße.
After Harry Kane and Eric Dier, he would be the next England international in head coach Thomas Tuchel's squad.

According to
Bild
information, the Bayern bosses are very optimistic that Trippier's transfer will work.
A decision about a move to Munich should be made this Tuesday, as FC Bayern is apparently putting pressure on the transfer to be completed.
The 33-year-old is considered Thomas Tuchel's absolute dream player, who would like to have him as an alternative at the back right in the squad.
Noussair Mazraoui is currently with the Morocco national team at the Africa Cup of Nations and will still miss several games for the German record champions.

Newcastle United are apparently anything but reluctant to let Trippier leave in the winter - although not on loan.
The Premier League club only wants to sell the right-back and is demanding a transfer fee of between ten and 15 million euros, as
Bild
reports.
Trippier before moving to FC Bayern?
The reason for rejecting a loan deal is that Newcastle urgently needs transfer income to avoid problems with UEFA over Financial Fair Play.
In addition to the transfer fee in the double-digit million range, FC Bayern Munich would also have to pay the English international's lavish salary - the transfer would not be a bargain for FCB.
Another alternative in the right-back position is still Nordi Mukiele.
According to Sky information, Bayern have still not achieved a transfer breakthrough, which is why they are concentrating on Trippier for the time being and will decide on Tuesday whether there will be a change.
