in 2014 what the best moment of his life was, the aspiring left winger replied: "When I signed my professional contract with THW Kiel on November 29, 2013." Since The now 30-year-old has always played for the record champions and has also been nominated for the 2024 European Championships in his home country.
The most beautiful moment of his life has been put to the test several times since 2014 through sporting performance.
Handballer dream couple Dahmke and Oftedal: engaged since 2023
But perhaps the most beautiful moment of his life will soon be a very private one.
Because Dahmke got engaged to his Stine Oftedal in June 2023.
The handball dream couple definitely needs a large shared trophy cabinet, because Oftedal has already won a lot.
While Dahmke became European champion once with Germany (2016), the lady celebrated the title five times.
Both won the Champions League once each.
Dahmke won four German championship titles, Oftedal four in Hungary.
The now 32-year-old has taken things to the next level individually.
World handball player 2019, and two-time most valuable player.
Once in the French league, once at the 2017 World Cup. Oftedal has already won the world championship title compared to Dahmke – three times.
Handball family: Superstar Sander Sagosen is also in a relationship with an Oftedal
One person who also congratulated them under the engagement photo from their summer vacation is the exceptional Norwegian handball player Sander Sagosen.
He played with Rune Dahmke for three years at THW Kiel.
He is also in the squad for Norway at the 2024 European Championships in Germany.
The superstar is even related to Dahmke by marriage.
Sagosen married the sister of Dahmke's fiancé.
She is also a professional handball player.
A family full of professional athletes.
Due to the draw for the European Championships in Germany, the family duel can only take place in the semi-finals at the earliest.
Sagosen and Dahmke met at the World Cup in 2023.
In the game for fifth place, Alfred Gislason's team won - with two goals each from his brother-in-law.
The selection of venues also went perfectly for the Oftedal family.
Five of the six preliminary round games take place in Berlin and do not overlap in time.
