There is a scandal in FC Bayern's Bundesliga game against Union.

Berlin coach Nenad Bjelica slaps Leroy Sané.

Munich – distance shortened: FC Bayern won 1-0 (0-0) against Union Berlin on Wednesday evening and, with 44 points, has moved back to within four points of league leaders Bayer Leverkusen (48 points).

Red card against Nenad Bjelica: Union coach gives Leroy Sané a slap in the face

Aside from the decisive goal by Raphael Guerreiro (46th minute), a slap in the face by visiting coach Nenad Bjelica against Munich attacker Leroy Sané (74th) was the big excitement of the catch-up game in the Allianz Arena.

The 52-year-old Croatian coach was then shown a red card by referee Frank Willenborg.

This is what happened: Sané wanted to get the ball from Bjelica before a throw-in.

But the Berlin coach didn't reveal this.

A heated exchange of words followed, after which the former Bundesliga professional from 1. FC Kaiserslautern slapped the German international.

He slapped the 28-year-old attacker, as they say in Munich.

After Bjelica's action against Sané, there was a hectic scuffle and a commotion between players and staff from both teams in front of the Berlin bench.

Referee Willenborg also showed Sané a yellow card.

For the Bayern professional it was the third warning of this 2023/24 season.

Nenad Bjelica: Union coach doesn't want to apologize to Bayern's Leroy Sané at first

Bjelica continued to rage in the stands of the Munich Arena after his dismissal.

The background to his failure: After 72 minutes, Berlin striker Kevin Behrens fell after contact with Konrad Laimer in the FC Bayern penalty area.

However, referee Willenborg did not point to the penalty spot.

He “has already seen games where that was whistled,” said the Croatian after the game on Sky and initially ruled out an apology to Bayern player Sané.

Bjelica wanted to apologize to his team for the red card, he explained, “not to Sané.

He comes into my room to provoke me”.

Regarding his physical attack on Sané, the Union coach said on Sky: “Yes, well, I'm in my zone, I want to get the ball and give it to Sané.

He pushed me in my room, then of course I reacted.

I don't react the way I should react as a coach.

This is not okay and what I did should not be tolerated.

I understand the red card.

Of course I was a bit upset about the penalty scene, which wasn't checked."
