Ziv Morgan, who ended his career in Romanian Cluj after a loan that lasted for half a season, signed today (Thursday) with Hapoel Tel Aviv for the next two and a half years, with a contract until the summer of 2026. The 24-year-old Morgan, who plays as a left defender and a midfielder, was purchased from Kiryat Shmona for 800,000 Shekel and in his contract there is an option to extend the contract for another two years.
The payment, it should be noted, will be in two payments - NIS 400,000 now and an additional NIS 400,000 next season.
He told Hapoel Tel Aviv's official website after the signing: "I am happy and excited to join a club with such a great history. Morgan grew up in the youth department of Maccabi Haifa, and in the 17/18 season he moved to the youth team of Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
In the 19/20 season he made his debut in the senior team of the Northerners, where he played until the end of the 22/23 season.
Throughout the period he made 108 league appearances, in which he scored two goals.
As mentioned, at the beginning of this season he left for Cluj and in half a season he made 18 appearances in all formats.
In addition, Morgan played in all of Israel's youth teams and was even a participant in the Olympic team's successful campaign in the European Championship that ended with a loss in the semi-final match to England in July 2023.
