He is a major figure in our championship who will say “farewell” to us at the end of the season and for once, we are not talking about Kylian Mbappé.
This season will in fact be the last at the end of which the club crowned champion of France will lift "Hexagoal", the Ligue 1 trophy since 2007 which will therefore be replaced next season, as part of the overhaul of the visual identity decided by the LFP.
An overhaul started this Wednesday with the revelation of the new logo of our championship.
A logo intertwining an “L” and a “1” which makes no mention of the trophy, which nevertheless occupied a central place in all the versions of the visual identity which have succeeded one another since 2008. “We could not change the logo and not change the trophy, confirms with the “Parisien” the senior marketing and editorial director of LFP Media, Jérôme Cazadieu.
The Ligue 1 trophy is in its final season.

“Hexagoal lived well”
The overall refresh of the visual codes of Ligue 1 justified, we are told, freeing ourselves from the symbols of the past.
The League's desire was to emphasize this 1, specific to Ligue 1, unifying and "owner".
“The challenge of promoting the championship brands desired by the League made it complex to remain in an evolution of the existing logo,” explains Dominique Jubert, director of the Leroy-Tremblot studio which created the new visual identity.
Notably Hexagoal, who lived well.

At the moment, the
look
of Hexagoal's successor is not yet known.
“It’s a job that will be completed in due time,” punctuates Cazadieu.
New logo, new trophy, new name and undoubtedly a new broadcaster, which is still to be defined, it's a big page that is turning for Ligue 1. In total, Hexagoal, its ball in majesty in a hexagonal shape will therefore have known the hands of seven different clubs in 17 years (Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lille, PSG and Monaco).
