Bayern have had Stuttgart's Chris Führich on their list for a long time.

Now the bosses around sports director Max Eberl are apparently getting serious.

Munich - Bayern are working on the squad for the coming season.

For a more successful future, sports director Max Eberl (50) and sports director Christoph Freund (46) are also looking for mentality players.

Success-hungry professionals with whom fans can identify.

Someone who fits the desired profile: Chris Führich (26) from VfB Stuttgart.

The former Dortmund young player impresses with his speed and strengths in one-on-one situations in the surprise third place in the Bundesliga.

For the German national team, the left winger is an important weapon as a joker for national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36).

The big question: Will Stuttgart's high-flyer land in Munich soon?

Eberl and friend apparently want to convince the dribbler to move to FC Bayern.

Führich only extended his contract with VfB Stuttgart until 2028 on February 1st. However, he has an exit clause.

If coach Sebastian Hoeneß's (41) team qualifies for the Champions League, he will be allowed to move in the summer for a fee of 23.5 million euros, according to Sport Bild.

As the

tz

learned, those responsible in Stuttgart are assuming that Führich will leave.

This fits: VfB is said to have already found a replacement in Cologne's Justin Diehl (19).

Führich has been on Bayern's list for a long time

Until now, league leaders Bayer Leverkusen were considered favorites to sign Führich.

Now FC Bayern is apparently also getting serious.

According to

tz

information, Munich's Führich has been on the agenda for a long time.

Eberl's predecessor Hasan Salihamidzic (47) was already on him.

The Stuttgart star was also the talk of the town on Säbener Straße at the end of last year.

In the end, Bayern signed Bryan Zaragoza (22) from Granada.

As the

tz

learned, the FCB scouting department was largely left out of the Spaniard's transfer.

Zaragoza was a dream player for sporting director Freund.

Since his early move in the winter, the professional winger, who speaks neither English nor German, has played no role at all under coach Thomas Tuchel (50).

In the 5-2 defeat in Darmstadt before the international break, Zaragoza did not make it into the squad.

His difficult situation is unlikely to change after the return of Serge Gnabry (28) and the foreseeable comeback of Kingsley Coman (27).

Führich would also have anything but a guaranteed regular place at FC Bayern.

The German record champions currently have enough well-known options, especially on the offensive wing.

That could change in the summer.

For example, if Bayern and Leroy Sané (28) cannot agree on an extension of his contract, which expires in 2025.

Of course, the bosses want to avoid a free transfer for the offensive star.

During his DFB visit to Frankfurt, Sané was asked whether he would stay at FC Bayern.

“I feel very, very comfortable with my family.

I also still have goals with the club.

We are still in the Champions League this year and want to win the title,” he said on Tuesday evening on RTL.

“Next year we have a final at home.

Like the home European Championships, this is something big.

I want to experience that and also give something back to the fans.” However, Sané’s statements cannot yet be understood as a yes to a Bayern extension.

So it remains exciting on the Bayern wings.
