FC Bayern has given Alphonso Davies a deadline to make a decision regarding a possible contract extension. But he doesn't agree with that.
Munich – The contract saga surrounding Alphonso Davies has a new chapter. The fact that FC Bayern recently increased the pressure to make a decision was apparently not well received by its management.

“It’s not fair that Alphonso is being attacked now,” says agent Nick Huoseh, attacking

. “We were close to an agreement a year ago. Then the entire club management was replaced. We then heard nothing for seven months. Although I tried to contact the club myself during this time.”
Huoseh is referring to the separation of former sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, who took the lead in bringing Davies from Vancouver in the winter of 2019. The new leadership around Max Eberl, who has officially been the sports director since the beginning of March, recently issued an ultimatum for Davies and those around him.

FC Bayern with final offer to Alphonso Davies
According to Eberl, Davies has been made a “very concrete, appreciative” offer. According to reports, this offer will no longer be improved. Davies is expected to earn between 13 and 14 million euros annually if he extends his contract until 2029. The players' side, on the other hand, is apparently demanding an annual salary of 20 million euros.
For advisor Huoseh, the approach of the current Munich management is incomprehensible: “Now we are given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and needed a long time to reposition itself in the management? That's not fair."

Alphonso Davies probably wants to know first: Who will be the coach of FC Bayern?
FC Bayern still seems to play a role in the 23-year-old's future planning. The most important thing is who will succeed outgoing coach Thomas Tuchel. However, at current discretion, the future filling of the position is completely open. Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso is still considered the preferred candidate, the alternative solution is said to be Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi - Eberl is said to have already had discussions with the Premier League coach.
According to Huoseh, it is a “very important contract” for Davies, so no decision will be made without knowing who will coach the Bundesliga runner-up in the future. “That’s why we think it’s unfair to react to the ultimatum and will decide how to proceed at the end of the season when there is more clarity.”
Real Madrid are keen on Alphonso Davies
Real Madrid should continue to signal the most concrete interest in working with Davies. Los Blancos, it has been said in recent weeks, are not putting any pressure on themselves with this personnel and can wait until 2025 if necessary. Then Davies would be free of charge, which Bayern want to prevent with all their might.
