After the dream start to the new year, the countdown to the 2024 European Championship is underway for the DFB team. German football fans need to know these dates:
A few months before the start of the 2024 European Championship, the German national soccer team made a dream start to the new year. The DFB team created a bit of euphoria with their victories in France and against the Netherlands. National coach Julian Nagelsmann played a large part in this. DFB team convinces at the start of the year – found a lineup for the 2024 European Championship?
The squad nomination already caused a stir. In addition to debutants like Maximilian Mittelstädt from VfB Stuttgart, returnee Toni Kroos is also impressive, putting his stamp on the DFB game straight away. Has the national coach already found his line-up for the European Championships? In any case, a concrete line-up is slowly emerging.
“There is no question: If everyone stays healthy and continues to perform, we will definitely not trade ten players in the summer. Actually not five, maybe one or two - plus injuries,” said Nagelsmann after the 2-1 win against the Netherlands. In the coming weeks, the players who were not nominated will have the chance to present themselves again. This includes Bayern professional Leon Goretzka, who was not taken into account by Nagelsmann in March.

DFB dates until the 2024 European Championship – two more international matches before the opening game
The timetable for the home European Championships is clear. The national team will have its training camp in Blankenhain (Thuringia) from May 26th to 31st. This also means: The DFB squad will probably be announced in mid-May. Before the opening game of the European Championship against Scotland on June 14th, there are still two test matches.
On June 3rd, Germany will face Ukraine, who also qualified for the European Championships, in Nuremberg. The last international match before the start of the European Championship will be against Greece in Mönchengladbach on June 7th. The 2004 European champions failed in the European Championship playoffs against Georgia.
