Julian Nagelsmann's return to FC Bayern is apparently taking concrete shape. Now Harry Kane also commented on the speculation.
Munich – Harry Kane’s first season at FC Bayern is like a roller coaster ride. Personally, the Englishman has exceeded all expectations with his 39 goals in 39 games so far. However, he was completely disappointed with the team after missing the championship and the early exit from the cup.
From summer onwards he will also have to get used to a new coach - perhaps Julian Nagelsmann? Before the quarter-final second leg against Atlético Madrid (all TV information), Kane responded to rumors that Nagelsmann's return to Bayern seems increasingly likely.
Kane reacts to speculation about Nagelsmann
“To be honest, I don’t know him very well,” replied the Bayern striker regarding Nagelsmann’s personality at the press conference before the knockout game in the premier class on Wednesday. “I don’t know the whole situation with the coaches at the moment either.”
It's no secret that Thomas Tuchel played a significant role in Kane's spectacular transfer last summer. It is probably thanks to the 50-year-old's persuasive work that the captain of the English national team finally found his way to Munich.
Kane demands respect for Tuchel
Tuchel is still considered an ardent Kane fan and speaks highly of the ex-Tottenham star whenever possible. Despite the numerous failures in the current season and the definite separation in the summer: the relationship between Kane and Tuchel is still appreciative.
Accordingly, Kane also demands that the players show “full respect” towards Tuchel. "That's why we're now trying to finish the season strongly with him and then the club will make the one decision that's best for Bayern Munich," said Kane, who recently made a clear announcement about his future at Bayern, on Tuesday the PK.
FC Bayern are said to have decided on Nagelsmann as Tuchel's successor
Most recently it was said that Bayern had decided which coach should be on the sidelines in the coming season: According to Sky, the German record champions want to bring Germany's current national coach back to Munich after the 2024 European Championship.
Discussions are said to have already progressed, and negotiations between Bayern with sports director Max Eberl and sports director Christoph Freund and Nagelsmann's agency Sports360 are apparently already underway in the background. Other coaching candidates such as Roberto De Zerbi or Unai Emery would probably only be considered if Nagelsmann turned down Bayern's offer.
