A monster, and the others. The Champions League record over the past ten years could almost be summed up like this. This season again, Real Madrid qualified for the semi-finals of the competition, the ninth time since 2013-2014. He only missed the meeting in 2019 and 2020.
Over the period, the Madrid club has even reached the final five times, and won it each time (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022). That's half of the finals played in ten years. Behind Casa Blanca, the club which has most often qualified for the semi-finals and Bayern Munich, with six participations (counting the qualification acquired this Wednesday evening against Arsenal), including a title won, in 2020 against PSG.
The podium is completed by Manchester City, present four times in the semi-final of the Champions League in ten years. Pep Guardiola's team will not participate this season, however, since they were eliminated by Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, after the penalty shootout. The Mancuniens were the defending champions.

On the French side, PSG has qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League three times in the last ten years (in 2020, 2021 and 2024). Luis Enrique's team lost to FC Barcelona this season in the quarter-finals. Only two other French teams reached the final four over the period: AS Monaco, in 2017, and Olympique Lyonnais, in 2020.
On April 30, then on May 7, the Parisians will compete for a place in the Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund. The Germans had not reached the semi-finals since the 2012-2013 season, when they failed in the final against Bayern Munich.
Among the other teams who have qualified for the last four of the Champions League several times over the past ten years are Liverpool (2018, 2019, 2022), Atlético de Madrid (2014, 2016, 2017), FC Barcelona ( 2015, 2019), Chelsea (2014, 2021) and Juventus (2015, 2017).
Villarreal (2022), Inter (2023), AC Milan (2023), Leipzig (2020), AS Roma (2018), Ajax (2019) and Tottenham (2019) have each qualified once for the semi-finals over the last ten years.
