What will Julian Nagelsmann do after the 2024 European Championship? A question that interests the entire nation. His agent has now confirmed talks with FC Bayern.
Munich – FC Bayern celebrated a glorious night in the Champions League on Wednesday (April 17) and are in the semi-finals of the premier class. Off the pitch, preparations for the new season are in full swing and the most important question is: who will coach the Munich team next season? Nagelsmann advisor Volker Struth has confirmed that there are discussions.
Decision on Nagelsmann’s future in the next “five, six, seven days”
In the podcast “Spielmacher – The EM Talk”, which Struth launched with presenter Sebastian Hellmann, the consultant reports on the future of national coach Julian Nagelsmann. The most frequently asked question, whether at the bakery or elsewhere, is what Nagelsmann will do from July 2024. His answer: “That will be decided in the next few days, definitely in a timely manner. I’ll say in the next five, six, seven days.”
Hellmann asks. “So there is an intensive exchange with FC Bayern?” Struth laughs. “You won’t get an answer from me.” But it’s no secret that he talks to interested parties without naming specific names. “So I can say it’s not just Bayern Munich.”

Right at the beginning of the podcast episode of “Playmaker – The EM Talk” Struth said: “There are a few clubs that are intensively involved with Julian. It’s no secret that the DFB would like to continue with Julian.”
Max Eberl, FC Bayern's sports director, had already commented on the rumors about Julian Nagelsmann's return on Wednesday evening. It was about possibly necessary “peace talks” after his release. “I had no argument with Julian, so there was no need for peace talks.”
