Munich – The news popped up at 11 a.m. on Thursday. “Fynn Lakenmacher is leaving the Lions,” was the headline of the press release from TSV 1860. The 23-year-old rejected the contract offer from the third division club and decided to move to the bottom of the Bundesliga, SV Darmstadt. The Lions are losing an important regular player. In the two years in which Lakenmacher played in the white and blue jersey, he has made 65 appearances in the 3rd division. He scored twelve goals - more could follow by the end of the season.

The almost 1.90 meter tall striker particularly shone during his time at TSV 1860 with his robustness, which made him an important factor in securing balls. “We have worked intensively on Fynn in recent weeks and presented him with an improved contract offer,” said Dr. Christian Werner, Managing Director Sports. His new coach, Torsten Lieberknecht, raves about his new signing: “Fynn is a striker who works hard for his team, is physically very present and capable of development.”
While the Lions are once again losing a key player for free, the “Future 1860” alliance is talking about the 2nd Bundesliga. According to the ideas of the members, including Martin Gräfer, chairman of the board of “die Bayerische”, and
Prof. Klaus Lutz, President of the IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria, will return in the next three years. But this requires fundamental changes. That's why the alliance, which consists of sponsors and fans and is open to every supporter, has now presented a catalog of measures for professional football at TSV 1860. In several working groups, the members developed ideas and solutions to advance the association. The big goal is “to restore the importance of TSV 1860 in German professional football,” according to the alliance.
The support alliance has set its sights on four topics: infrastructure, finances, youth development and brand development. And: The group fundamentally demands fair cooperation between all shareholders - a discussion on equal terms.

For example, on the stadium issue, the alliance is proposing a three-location solution: a new stadium suitable for the second division for the professionals, the Grünwalder Stadium as a venue for young talent and women, and an expansion of the training area. However, all considerations are based on the Grünwalder Stadium. In order to be able to achieve promotion, the club must develop a sporting and economic master plan.
1860 Munich needs its own resources for sporting success. A five-year business plan should clarify the financial issues - a new marketing plan for the professionals and the youth performance center should help. The NLZ is also to be expanded and converted into a profit center, and the football boarding school is to be renamed “Petar Radenkovic Boarding School”. The brand identity is to be strengthened again, among other things with increased social commitment and the involvement of legends as ambassadors for the club. (Marinus Obermaier)
