  • The Volvo S60 is very comfortable.
  • We were traveling with the entry-level 190 hp engine .
  • A high loading edge is one of the negative points .

The recently revised sports sedan S60 is a rather rare sight in Germany . The Kombi V60 * and the SUV XC 60 * can be seen more often on our roads. The four-door is a more individual vehicle, but it offers a lot of comfort at a reasonably manageable price . We were on the road with the T4 in the R design , driven by the 190 hp entry-level engine.

Volvo S60 T4: Individual interior - operation is easy to understand

The interior ambience is classy , but by no means upscale. The interior is individual, but easy to understand . Volvo doesn't overwhelm the driver. The portrait format screen has its own operating logic , which you quickly understand.

The two-liter petrol engine (diesel engines are no longer available in this country) is a bit grumpy when starting, but then behaves quite civilized. It is not particularly sporty - even if you select the appropriate dynamic driving program - but it does not correspond to the characteristics of this car. If necessary, the brakes grip very hard - this gives a good feeling of safety.

A warm winter package costs 1,500 euros in the Volvo S60

Our test car was equipped with the winter package Pro ( 1,500 euros) , which quickly took away the icy horror thanks to the good heating power of the morning drive after frosty nights. In addition to plenty of space, the rear passengers were also able to enjoy a warm rear thanks to seat heating .

Negative point: The trunk floor of the Volvo S60 is very rugged

The trunk holds a good 442 liters of luggage. The jagged floor and the relatively high edge over which the load has to be balanced are less pleasing. It takes getting used to that you have to activate the rain sensor with a somewhat fiddly switch.
