Infectious disease specialist at Bichat hospital, Professor Xavier Lescure describes a situation on the razor's edge, ready to tip over at any time.
LE FIGARO. - What is the situation in your hospital?
Pr Xavier LESCURE. - The situation is very tense. At 8 am this morning (Friday, note) the 52 intensive care beds were all occupied, and we had 185 patients in the treatment room for 191 beds. We are not yet overwhelmed but we are really on a ridge line. We want to, but objectively we are very fair. Some of our colleagues are sick, so in isolation, we lack arms, we lack equipment, we lack comfort drugs. We are at the limit of our capabilities. For the moment, we are holding on. We work a lot, we sleep little, but it's okay.

Are you talking about missing material, these are masks?
We are really fair in every way. We have masks left but we have no margin. The same goes for electric syringes.
