Million a week: Technology giant CEO Tim Cook announces unprecedented contribution to healthcare systems worldwide • "Doctors' feedback has been very positive," he said in a video posted
Apple's CEO Tim Cook updated another company's contribution to the global crisis. With governments around the world.
"Apple has invested a great deal of effort integrating product designers, engineers, operations, packaging teams and suppliers to design, manufacture and ship the face shields to healthcare system employees," Cook said in the video. "Our first shipment was delivered to Kaiser Hospital facilities in Santa Clara Valley over the past week, and the feedback from the doctors was very positive."
Apple is dedicated to supporting the worldwide response to COVID-19. We've now sourced over 20M masks through our supply chain. Our design, engineering, operations and packaging teams are also working with suppliers to design, produce and ship face shields for medical workers. pic.twitter.com/3xRqNgMThX

Apple's CEO also said that the shields come in 100-unit packages, and doctors can easily pull them out and assemble them in 2 minutes. And another million every week thereafter. So far, the company is working to distribute them across the U.S., but plans to expand to other locations around the world soon.
