For three weeks France has been confined. A collective effort that seems to be starting to bear fruit: the number of new serious cases has been decreasing for the past three days. In other words, if the curve continues to increase, it does so more slowly. But the situation remains very heterogeneous: the country is cut in two with a western half still spared, while the resuscitation services in the East have almost all exceeded 100% of their capacities before the crisis.

To measure this dynamic, the most important data are new serious cases and admissions to intensive care. All the patients not being diagnosed, impossible to have the precise number of new contaminations. Mortality is also not a good indicator: there is a very large inequality between patients who die quickly and others who can remain in critical condition for several weeks.
