The 2020 World Car Awards have been awarded. The Kia Telluride has won the World Car of the Year award for 2020, while the Porsche Taycan has won two awards: that of World Luxury Car and World Performance Car. And again for the 'Urban Car' section, the award went to the Kia Soul EV while Mazda 3 won the prize as World Car Design of the Yaer. The jury of the prize, made up of 86 journalists selected internationally, had also awarded a recognition in the last few days to the number one of the PSA group, Carlos Tavares, as Person of the year in the automobile world. In detail, the Kia Telluride was awarded the highest recognition in the World Car of the Year category, where it competed with two cars belonging to the same brand: it is the Mazda CX-30 and Mazda 3. The latter returns home however with a prize, that of Design, after having won it over the other two finalists: Peugeot 208 and Porsche Taycan.

Double prize, instead, just for the Porsche that won the recognition of Luxury Car, where it competed with the 911 (always Porsche) and the electric Mercedes EQC, and that of the best performing car, in this case the three finalists were all cars of the Porsche brand (Taycan, 911 and 718 Spyder / Cayman GT4). The car that won the prize for best Urban Car is also electric: it is the Kia Soul EV that has won it instead on the electric Mini and the Vw T-Cross. On 10 March, the jury of the award had awarded Carlos Tavares, PSA CEO, the recognition of World Car Person of the Year for 2020 for the work done in the individual brands of the Group and for the negotiations with FCA that gave birth to the fourth largest automotive group in the world in terms of volumes.
