The ADAC evaluates the petrol consumption * of various car models every quarter. Using the new WLTP measurement method, the automobile club takes a closer look at the manufacturers' information. ADAC evaluation: These small cars use the least petrol
For the evaluation, the ADAC only considered cars * for which consumption values of the new WLTP cycle are available. Models that were still evaluated according to the old NEDC cycle were not taken into account for reasons of comparability.
The total costs of the respective car model were also included in the evaluation . The costs for insurance, taxes, loss of value, wear and tear, tire replacement and the fuel costs for an annual mileage of 15,000 kilometers were taken into account. This shows that the cheapest car is not always the cheapest.

This is how the ADAC evaluates gasoline consumption
In the evaluation, the ADAC always included the respective model that, according to the manufacturer, consumes the least. Plug-in hybrids were not taken into account. In addition, cars with standard equipment were always used. For example, if you own a model with a few extras, you wouldn't get the same values.
According to the ADAC evaluation, the Honda Jazz has the lowest petrol consumption with 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers . But with a total cost of 37.6 a month, it is not the cheapest car. That's the Hyundai i10 . The total costs for this model are only 30.6 cents.
