The investigators of the PJ arrested Monday morning a 23 year old man suspected of having killed a 17 year old boy, Sunday evening, in a sensitive district of Besançon (Doubs). This resident of Planoise, known to the justice system for acts of violence and drug cases, was placed in police custody at the Besançon police station, specifies a police source.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect had a dispute with the victim at the foot of a building bar and killed him with a handgun, with his face uncovered. Three other people who were with him in a car when the victim was killed are still in police custody, she added.
The deceased young man, known to the police and the justice system, was killed by a bullet in the chest around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Planoise, at an alleged place of drug trafficking. The judicial police were jointly seized of the investigation with the departmental security of Besançon.
Between November and March, life in the sensitive district of Planoise was punctuated by armed clashes between rival gangs, against the backdrop of drug trafficking. Police said it was too early Monday to link these events to the Sunday evening murder.
In early March, a 23-year-old young man was killed by two bullets and his 21-year-old passenger seriously injured near downtown Besançon. According to the prosecution, this shooting was linked to the ongoing clashes in the Planoise district.

The situation had led the Doubs prefecture to introduce a curfew in mid-March for minors under the age of 16. Fifteen people suspected of being involved in the settling of armed accounts, linked to drug trafficking, were also charged.
