Employed in a small supermarket in the city, the forties was found lifeless at his home by his employer and his housekeeper

The body of a mortally wounded 42-year-old man was found at his home in Strasbourg and the judicial police were seized of the investigation, according to information from the regional daily newspaper Les Actualités Nouvelles d'Alsace (DNA), confirmed by the 'AFP.

"The Strasbourg public prosecutor's office confirms the discovery of the lifeless body of a 42-year-old man […] in his apartment in Strasbourg," it was said.

"Wounds have been found in several places on the body," it was added, adding that "an investigation has been opened and entrusted to the Interregional Directorate of the Judicial Police (DIPJ) in Strasbourg".

The track of the planned homicide

The man had in particular wounds "on the head", according to a source close to the file, which indicates that the track of the homicide is envisaged. According to The Latest News from Alsace, the body of this man domiciled in the center of Strasbourg was found on Wednesday. The local newspaper, for its part, mentions a 48-year-old man, "a real figure in the neighborhood".

It was the victim's employer and housekeeper who gave the alert: the housekeeper could not enter the apartment, she went down to the supermarket where the 40-something worker worked, while his boss tried in vain to contact him, surprised not to see his employee take his service.

The two women then alerted the emergency services, who, after having forced the door, discovered the lifeless body of the forties, lying on the ground. According to DNA, traces of blood were also visible on the ground.
