A new reality show to be aired on US TBS Channel will unite the world's best Sims 4 players to compete for a $ 100,000 prize. The task of the contestants will be to build an exciting and original story within the virtual home created around characters, alongside various missions.
The first episode will air on July 17, with a total of four episodes and 12 format contenders. The program will focus on the last game, The Sims 4, which came out in 2013, and contestants will be judged by jeweler Kelsey Impishche, singer Tayla Farks, and game developer - Dave Miyotka.
"The Sims community has always been special. The game makes them connect with each other, celebrate, collaborate, showcase the things they've been able to create and the stories of their characters," said Lyndsay Pearson of Sims franchise director, in an interview with The Verge website. Exactly what we do in The Sims Spark'd program, and take the experience to the next level. The idea is also to bring a new audience to the game. "
For those who are unfamiliar, this is a simulation game that came to life in its first version in the early 2000s and became a hit at the time, and is currently being distributed by EA Games. In the game you can build your dream home, manage a family life, get married, get a divorce, "accidentally" drown one of the housemates in the pool (and thank you for doing so), and in short, manage a whole virtual world in parallel with real life.
