A perfect synthesis between the electric vehicle background and the SUV background. Born from this mix, Nissan Ariya, the full electric SUV coupe inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi, that is, the ability to offer hospitality and exclusive services beyond expectations, which is linked to the concept of timeless Japanese futurism that inspires sharp shapes, powerful and absolutely breaking design. Ariya - which was unveiled this morning at 7 Italian time with a live streaming from the Japanese headquarters - represents a new chapter, a second era of zero-emission Japanese mobility, which treads and surpasses the road traced by the Leaf sedan.

Based on the Nissan Intelligent mobility concept, it encompasses all the stylistic features and technological innovations of the Rising Sun brand: starting from ProPilot 2.0 which allows for semi-automatic driving, via e-pedal (already known on Nissan Leaf, which allows the driver to accelerate and brake with a single pedal), a group-powertrain with two electric motors and the possibility of the 4-wheel drive and the connectivity and interactivity of the vehicle guaranteed by Alexa on board. Made starting from the concept presented at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019, Ariya was born on a new EV platform developed by the Alliance. Just over 4.5 meters long, the new Ariya sports a simple, modern but sensual look. Embodying the Japanese term iki, which characterizes Ariya's sophisticated and avant-garde nature, the front of the vehicle appears fluid and continuous. Elegant and modern, this takes the form of a 'shield' and reinvents the front grill of electric vehicles. The Nissan logo (which now features a dual physical and digital soul) is redesigned and has been positioned in the center of the 'shield', clearly illuminated thanks to the 20 LEDs that make it up. The new Nissan logo represents the brand's passion and dedication to innovation and challenge conventions. The lower part of the 'shield' is delimited by a thin border that lights up, together with the logo, when Ariya is turned on.

The LED headlights, made with four 20mm mini-projectors, are combined with sequential direction indicators to reinvent Nissan's exclusive V-motion design.

The rear part of Ariya is characterized by a strongly inclined "C" upright that merges with the bridge. The rear lights, shaped in the shape of a blade, have been designed to have a blackout effect when the car is parked and a red illumination when it is in use. In the passenger compartment, the sensation is that of entering a real timeless lounge. Quietness and comfort are combined with a series of practical and minimal functions for the interior, ensuring a relaxed environment (the position of the center console can be adjusted according to the driver's needs and the settings saved for automatic positioning each time the car is used) . Ariya is driven by a double electric motor and equipped with an all-wheel drive system characterized by Nissan's most advanced independent wheel control technology, called e-4ORCE: the power reaches up to 290 kW for an autonomy that, depending on the battery, can reach 500 km.

With five versions for the European market, both four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive, Nissan Ariya is able to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.

The Ariya 63kWh two-wheel drive version is ideal for commuters looking for quality and style in their EV. The Ariya 87kWh versions, always with two-wheel drive, offer wider autonomy for those who want to make longer journeys.

There are three possible driving modes: Standard, Sport and ECO (the e-4ORCE models also include Snow mode).
