The teenagers were arrested on the spot shortly after this assault on Thursday in the district of Grand-Parc, north-west of Bordeaux.

About fifteen aggressors

That evening, three police officers from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of Bordeaux had come under “fire from fireworks mortars”, according to the police, while they awaited the evacuation of stolen scooters in this popular district.

The shots, coming from a "group of about fifteen individuals", had hit the police vehicle and an officer who had remained inside had been lightly burned in the left hand by residues of explosives entered in. the interior, according to the same source.

This official and the two who were out of the vehicle at the time of the shooting also suffered from tinnitus. Seven gunshots were noted on the car.

Returning to the unfolding of the facts, the prosecution explained that in the evening, "the crew of the BAC had observed the merry-go-round of very young people circulating on board scooters appearing to be stolen". At the sight of the police, they had then fled by abandoning the two-wheelers on the spot.
