Travel warnings for Spain extended

00.01 a.m.: The Federal Foreign Office has extended its travel warning for Spain. The Foreign Office said that unnecessary tourist trips to the autonomous communities of Aragon, Basque Country, Catalonia, Madrid and Navarra are currently being warned due to renewed high numbers of infections and local closures.

There are currently new regional sources of infection in Aragon, Catalonia, Navarra, the Basque Country and the capital region of Madrid with an occurrence of more than 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days. That is why the Robert Koch Institute declared these areas to be risk areas. This results in a quarantine obligation or a free mandatory test when entering Germany, it said.
