There have been many speculations - but now it's official: BMW is launching the M3 as a touring variant for the first time.
Munich - For a long time, it was a reason for many to resort to competing products: The BMW M3 was previously not available as a station wagon, but only as a sedan and coupé (BMW M4) . In Ingolstadt, the Audi RS4 Avant has been available for HP-enthusiastic customers for many years , in Stuttgart the Mercedes-AMG C43 and the C63 as T-model. But now they are finally turning around in Munich: BMW has now officially confirmed the M3 Touring . At the headquarters of BMW M GmbH in Garching near Munich, the BMW M3 Touring prototype is already being worked on, as reported by 24auto.de.
Under the hood of the BMW M3 Touring one is 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine potter, so much the Munich carmaker has already betrayed. The manufacturer has so far been silent on the exact performance data. The current BMW M3 (F80) has an output of 317 kW (431 hp) - with the new generation it should of course be a few more horsepower, which then also applies to the station wagon. Fans can expect almost 500 hp . * 24auto.de is part of the Ippen-Digital network
