A 16-year-old girl died in a house fire in Nantes on Thursday, August 20. The criminal track is privileged, we learned from the firefighters of Loire-Atlantique and from a source close to the file.
The firefighters intervened shortly before 6 p.m. to extinguish a fire which broke out in the attic of a house with one floor, in the city center of Nantes, according to Ouest-France.
On their arrival at the scene, the firefighters said in a statement to have extracted "a person who was in cardio-respiratory arrest". “After an attempt at resuscitation by the emergency services, the victim, a 16-year-old girl, was declared dead by the SMUR doctor,” the statement added.
From a source close to the file, the criminal track is privileged and the criminal brigade of the antenna of the judicial police of Nantes was seized. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
