A shooting broke out Monday morning in a peripheral district of Toulouse, a city bereaved by similar tragedies in recent weeks: a man was shot dead, a woman seriously injured, we learned from a police source.
At around 7 a.m., the firefighters were called to the Lalande district, an area where pavilions, industrial premises and interchanges of the ring road mingle, to assist the two victims, two young people in their twenties.
According to La Dépêche du Midi, the police squared the scene to take clues about a black car whose windows were broken by ammunition.
The duty magistrate at the Toulouse prosecutor's office made the trip and entrusted the investigations to the regional judicial police service (SRPJ), still according to the regional daily.
This fatal shooting comes after two others this summer, in another district in the north of Toulouse, the Izards, attributed to settling of scores between drug traffickers.
At the end of June, 16 people had been arrested as part of a major anti-trafficking operation in the Izards district.
Since then, investigators from the judicial police and the departmental security narcotics brigade suspect that the territory is the scene of a war of influence to recover the "market".
