During the night from Saturday to Sunday, a motorist ran into individuals in the city center of the town of Abeilhan, near Béziers, in the Hérault, killing one of them and seriously injuring three others.
The facts would have occurred around 3 am, during a brawl between fifteen individuals divided into two groups, says France 3 Occitanie.
The deceased man was 23 years old and lived in Béziers, reports Le Midi Libre.
Three people are in absolute urgency, two men aged 24 and 37 and a woman aged 25, said the television channel.
All the victims were transported to the Lapeyronie CHU in Montpellier.
The police arrested the driver and two people were taken into custody.
An investigation into murder and intentional violence has been opened.
