Having managed to bend the screens of smartphones and launched folding devices, Samsung wants to produce a transparent smartphone that will be based on new technology developed by the company.
According to the published patent application documents, the technology will be able to make the device transparent while still maintaining full display functionality.
To help illustrate this futuristic design, the LetsGoDigital website partnered with 3D artist Giuseppe Spinali, known as Snorin, to create a series of the new device.
And of course, even though on the face of it in the picture it seems possible, this is just an idea and Samsung will be required to develop additional technologies to make the idea a reality.
For example, the company will have to create transparent versions of the phone's internal components or find a way to insert them into the thinnest frame - not an easy task in itself. Concepts of transparent smartphones we have seen in the past also at Sony and LG, and the same technology we are likely to see in the TV worlds as well.
