Unveiling Xbox X, Microsoft's Next Generation Console (PR)
Owners of Xbox?
An update coming to the Xbox app on the iPhone may devour the cards and for the first time: allow games to be streamed from the Xbox console, directly into the iPhone and iPad.
The feature was recently released in a beta version for Android users, and rumors that it will also reach the iPhone were not long in coming.
Worldwide reports about the availability of the feature talk about it being available during November 10, the launch date of the Xbox X consoles and the S.
To use the new feature, the Xbox and iPhone or iPad must be connected to the same wireless Internet network.
Then, it will be possible to run the Xbox directly from the app, without having to physically turn it on.
When the console is turned on, it will be possible to select the iPhone or iPad from the list of contents installed on the Xbox, and in fact it will be possible to watch the full menu except for the TV app.
The feature works similarly to the Sony Remote play that was launched for the PlayStation 4 last year, and has since been available for Android and iPhone.
As of this stage, the app is in beta through the TestFlight (Apple's Beta Platform), and as mentioned, the app is expected to be available starting November 10th.
