Actor and director Yehuda Barkan, 75, was hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital after contracting Corona.
The hospital confirmed this and said he was conscious.
In doing so, he joined many who became infected in Corona, including actor and creator Lior Kalfon, who was hospitalized in July, moved to the Corona Hotel, and after 43 days of isolation recovered and was released to his home.
In recent days, it has become known that musician Shlomi Shabbat and actress Chen Amsalem have also been found positive for Corona.
Both are not hospitalized but are at home, and their medical condition is good.
Barkan is one of the oldest and most beloved filmmakers in Israel and has won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the local film and television academy.
His resume includes timeless hits like "Charlie and a Half," "Snooker Celebration" and "Stolen Daddy," and last year he returned to the big screen when he starred in the movie "Love in Shlakes."
