The trailer for the game "The Avengers" (PR)

The Corona plague has taken away from superhero fans this year's Marvel movies, which have been postponed at this point to 2021, and the hand is still outstretched.

But those who made sure the Avengers went on the offensive can get a sedative siren. Their new adventure has come out recently, this time not in the cinema but in the game and computer consoles. The game, developed for a long time by the Crystal Dynamics game studio (known for its Tomb Raider game series , Which he has been in charge of in recent years), promises a lot: a single-player adventure, as well as a collaborative, up-to-date and content-rich multiplayer game, which should continue to provide us with Avengers stories for the foreseeable

future. But can the superheroes keep all these promises? Your panties over your pants, and fly with me on to find out.

Superheroes do not die, they just change

The game begins on A-Day, a national day of celebration designed entirely to praise the world's most famous superhero group.

Kamla Khan, a young girl with a slight obsession with superheroes, is hosted at the superhero base to receive an award for a short story she wrote inspired by them (yes, she’s that kind of fan).

Unfortunately, just then the troubles begin: a mysterious villain attacks the superheroes and manages to land a huge defeat on them.

Captain America was killed in battle, along with other innocent civilians.

And if that wasn’t enough, the battle caused the distribution of mysterious gas, which turned innocent people into superheroes themselves.

A few years later, the world no longer so much remembers who the Avengers were.

The gang disbanded after Captain America's death, giving way to an almost totalitarian regime that brutally hunted down the superhero population.

Camela herself has become a superhero, but she is unwilling to eulogize the heroes she admires, and sets out to locate the missing heroes and re-establish the Avengers.

And so, the game will get you started in Camela's shoes, but will soon let you control all the other familiar heroes: Iron Man, Thor, The Black Widow, Captain America, The Green Giant and many more goodies.

Together you will save the world, one battle at a time.

Battle after battle after battle

The game itself is a third-person action game.

Each of the superheroes left to play has several types of attacks, evasive ability and a host of special abilities.

For example, Iron-Man can fly and fire energy bursts from a distance, Captain America is able to use his shield to stun distant enemies, Thor has his powerful hammer and the green giant is simple, well, huge.

The single player campaign lasts about 12 hours, and allows for relatively little time to experiment with each and every hero as he skips from one to the other during the various stages.

This campaign is reminiscent of Crystal Dynamics' high skill in producing third-person action games.

The battles are fun, the stage design is not bad, and the story is great (especially in its final parts).

While this is not the highest quality action game I have played in my life, and it thrilled me far less than watching the latest Avengers movies, it still provided my craving for superheroes in not a bad way at all.

Too bad you can't say the same about the multiplayer situation.

Repetitive and rather boring game, and do not rely on the online mode

The multiplayer starts as "more of the same", a kind of direct sequel to the single player campaign, but unfortunately he can't find himself and started getting tired of me pretty quickly.

The enemies are exactly the same enemies from the campaign, with almost no innovations, and each online mission feels almost identical to the previous mission you already played.

The good pace of the campaign is completely gone, and the game feels repetitive and rather boring.

Anyone looking for a short and nice action game will enjoy the Avengers, especially if he is a fan of comic book and movie series.

Just do not rely on the online mode.
