Telephone investigations and hearings reveal that the Conflans terrorist had contacted the parent of the student who initiated the po

Abdullakh Anzorov's murderous journey is becoming clearer.

Resident in Evreux (Eure), this radicalized 18-year-old Chechen has indeed traveled nearly 100 kilometers between his apartment and the college of Conflans-Saint-Honorine (Yvelines) to behead Samuel Paty, a history professor, in retaliation to a course on freedom of expression which he initially only heard about through social media.

The first investigations reveal that the terrorist has learned a lot about this controversy, by contacting parents and pupils.

No less than 15 people were heard on Monday evening in police custody at the anti-terrorism sub-directorate (SDAT) and the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) to determine whether they transmitted crucial information to Abdoullakh Anzorov likely to the to have helped to implement his macabre project.

Without knowing, at this stage, if they had knowledge of his murderous intentions or if they were manipulated.

Among the suspects heard, four college students from Conflans arrested on Monday in the Paris region.

A recent change in behavior

According to the testimonies of his relatives, the young jihadist, shot dead by the police, spent a lot of time on his smartphone in the weeks preceding his act.

It was while surfing the Internet - the examination of his smartphone revealed an important activity - that he learned about the videos shot by Brahim C., a parent of a student at the Conflans college, and Abdelhakim Sefrioui, an activist of radical Islam on file S about Samuel Paty's course.

These two men, in custody, had delivered the name of the teacher grazed on social networks to denounce the fact that the victim had shown his students two caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad published by Charlie Hebdo.

They had called for the resignation of Samuel Paty, amplified and instrumentalized the controversy by evoking "Islamophobia in a public school".

A professor killed for doing his job: update on the assassination of Samuel Paty

Some relatives of Abdoullakh Anzorov say that the latter had changed his behavior recently, regularly referring to the videos of Brahim C. and Abdelhakim Sefrioui.

Above all, according to our information, investigators have discovered a telephone link between the terrorist and the student's parent.

A call, attributed to Abdoullakh Anzorov, and sent to the Brahim C. line was made shortly before the attack, without it being known whether the second answered.

In his videos of disparaging the beheaded professor, Brahim C. had made public his phone number to encourage his supporters to contact him.

However, the police have not yet found any contact between Abdoullakh Anzorov and Abdelhakim Sefrioui.

In police custody, the parent of the student at the origin of the controversy and the activist S insisted on not knowing the assailant and regretting the death of Samuel Paty they say they did not want.

But continue to condemn his course on freedom of expression ... While waiting for justice to determine possible criminal responsibilities, the Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin, ordered the administrative closure of the Pantin mosque (Seine- Saint-Denis), which had given an important echo to the videos denigrating the two men.

The Twitter account already reported in July

Another revelation of the investigation: the morning of the attack, Abdoullakh Anzorov, not having a driving license, was transported from Evreux to the Paris region by a friend.

He prowls in front of the Conflans-Saint-Honorine college then, around 4 p.m., approaches at least two college students to offer them twice 150 euros so that they show them what Samuel Paty looks like.

In police custody, one of them, a 14-year-old minor, said he had sensed that the young man had malicious intentions since he mentioned the cartoons, without suspecting that he was going to kill the professor.

Released Sunday while waiting for his version to be verified, he explains having shared the terrorist's money with four other schoolchildren.

Together, they would have appointed the teacher at the end of class.

The latter were in turn taken into custody in order to find out precisely what they confided to the jihadist.

Employed on a construction site, a fan of indoor sport, Abdoullakh Anzorov was not followed by the intelligence services.

However, his family says they have noticed that the young jihadist had hardened his practice of religion for a few months and that he had become more and more "withdrawn".

His 17-year-old brother also said he was very active on social media.

The terrorist's Twitter account - closed after he published the remains of Samuel Paty and claimed responsibility for his murder as a punishment for his course on cartoons - had also been the subject of a report last July made by a member de la Licra on the Pharos police platform. This report had been forwarded to the Counter-Terrorism Coordination Unit (Uclat) for analysis. Among the contentious remarks, tweets calling ... Allah to "direct his forces" against China, messages on Afghanistan or a photo of beheading taken abroad. “The report was taken into account but not considered a serious threat. There are thousands like this every day and it is difficult to sort it out, notes a police source. No one was mentioned by name in the messages. "
