The NASA announced at a press conference the findings • Meaning: Facilitating the launch of flights to the moon • The discovery: using a telescope that first surveyed the moon
Dramatic discovery:
NASA has released this evening (Monday) that were discovered open water on the lunar surface, the visible portion to be used.
The discovery will help in the program to launch astronauts to the moon as part of the "Artemis" 2024. This is a surprise because the water were to evaporate into Space and do not stay on the surface.
NEWS: We confirmed water on the sunlit surface of the Moon for the 1st time using @SOFIAtelescope.
We do not know yet if we can use it as a resource, but learning about water on the Moon is key for our #Artemis exploration plans.

The agency estimates that there is any factor on the surface that protects the water.
In any case, the presence of water on the moon will be very helpful for flights to the moon, because they will not have to bring water to the moon during the flight.
It will also be possible to bring in less oxygen as the water can be broken down into oxygen and hydrogen.
The fact that there are days in the dark area of the moon was known, but these are areas that are difficult to work and survive in over time.
The presence of water in an illuminated area will help astronauts greatly.
It is assumed that this water may be protected by a glass material or other transparent material.
Research will be needed to understand how much water there is and how much can be used.
The discovery was made using the NASA Sofia telescope, this is the first time the telescope has surveyed the moon, the discovery was made while the crew was flying the telescope to the crew's house. The telescope flies and descends back to Earth.
