The social network launched yesterday (Monday) "
Facebook Gaming
", a cloud streaming service (currently for Android users only) that will allow you to play on a smartphone or tablet without the need for a remote (controller).
Contrary to expectations, the company has no intention of competing with Microsoft or Google, as it focuses on mobile games, with parts also available on PC.
Also, currently Facebook does not charge a monthly fee for the service, and it is completely free.
What you will need is a Facebook account, with which you will be required to connect for the first time, and the activation of those games is done without installation.
There is also support for Cross-Play, a shared game between platforms that is partially available.
To get us to join the service, Facebook is changing the way they try to market our games to us. Now, instead of the regular screenshot or a short segment of a game, developers will be able to create demo versions of the game that you can play instantly. Currently iOS users will not be able to enjoy the service due to limitations in the Apple App Store.
