" Always.
Together.
In concord.
Emmanuel Macron published a long message this Friday evening on the social network Facebook.
A well-argued and solemn update at a time when cases of police violence and debates on press freedom electrify public debate.
In line with the comments made the day before by his Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, the Head of State condemned the excesses of at least four police officers on Saturday in the 17th arrondissement of Paris against a music producer .
“The images we have all seen of Michel Zecler's assault are unacceptable.
They shame us […] France must never allow hatred or racism to flourish ”, he declared.
Emmanuel Macron also asked the government to formulate “proposals to reaffirm the bond of trust that must naturally exist between the French and those who protect them and to fight more effectively against all forms of discrimination”.
