American Airlines dares to start.
From December 29th, the airline will be using the Boeing 737 Max again - the type of aircraft that has been on the ground for 20 months and is now notorious as a blatant faulty design.
On the Miami – New York route, the airline wants to test with initially only two flights a day to what extent the public is ready to sit in the scandalous plane.
Anyone who does not want to fly with the 737 Max should be able to rebook easily.
At any time, announced managing director David Seymour, passengers should be able to see whether a conventional 737 NG or a 737 Max is planned for their upcoming flight.
The crashes should not be able to repeat themselves
At the beginning of next year, hundreds of 737 Max models will be able to take off again almost all over the world.
The relevant aviation authorities, above all the American FAA and the European EASA, consider it to be sufficiently safe in a revised form, with new software and training requirements for the crew.
