"The function of the world - A story of Vito Volterra '": this is the title of the story of the mathematician and physicist Vito Volterra, founder of the National Research Council (Cnr) and president of the Accademia dei Lincei, among only 12 university professors, on more than 1,200, not to swear allegiance to fascism.
His comic story, published by Feltrinelli Comics and Cnr Edizioni, is written by Alessandro Bilotta and drawn by Dario Grillotti and is presented in live streaming on the ANSA Science and Technology channel.
The event, entitled 'Vito Volterra, a story for the future', is organized by Cnr as part of the series of popular meetings '#LaMiaVitaDopoIlCOVID: Scientific research dialogues with young people'. Presenting the figure of Volterra, the president of the CNR and academic of the Lincei, Massimo Inguscio, the biographer of Volterra Giovanni Paoloni, who teaches archival at the Sapienza University of Rome, and the writer and comic book author Tito Faraci, director of the Feltrinelli series Comics.
